If you've ever desired to have full, symmetrical, gorgeous eyebrows, look no further! Linda Miele is a certified and insured microblading artist in the state of New York. Microblading is a semi permanent form of tattooing done with swiping motion of a manual pen and set of very find needles. Pigment of the highest quality is implanted under the epidermis of the skin creating extremely realistic hair strokes. The hair strokes are crisp, with extraordinary definition and dimension. Microblading can dramatically correct or fully reconstruct lost eyebrow and is excellent for those wanting to enhance their brows or who have little to no eyebrows, thinning brows, or over tweezed brows. The microblading process consists of two appointments, the initial and perfecting session. Linda prides herself on working with each client prior to the procedure, to achieve symmetrical brows by measuring and drawing on the outline with brow pencil. Once the desired look is achieved, Linda will then formulate pigment to match your natural or desired eyebrow color so that the strokes will blend with the existing brow and skin tone. The touch up session is required 30 days after the initial procedure to "perfect" the brow and implant additional pigment to ensure long lasting results. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type and skincare routine. A touch up appointment is recommended each year to maintain the desired look.
It's technically a type of tattoo, but it's very different from what you'd expect. The difference between an eyebrow tattoo and microblading? An eyebrow tattoo is a permanent procedure, which uses a machine to penetrate pigment deep into the skin. Microblading involves using a hand tool with nine or more tiny needles to create shallower cuts on the skin and then letting pigment seep in. Microblading lasts only one to three years depending on your skin's pigment retention — and for someone who's a bit squeamish about making a permanent change, this just may be the ideal amount of commitment!
The results are made to look super natural. Where a permanent eyebrow tattoo is a thick, unnatural-looking solid line, with a microblading needle there is much more control over what your artist is doing. The end result, is crisp, hairlike strokes.
Microblading can be a solution for a wide variety of issues. While people with thin, sparse or no brows are the most common microblading candidates, this is also for clients with very beautiful, brows that just want to correct some asymmetry, or perfect the look they already have.
Give yourself extra time for the appointment to ensure the best results. A typical appointment is around two to two and a half hours, But the actual microblading only happens in the last 15 to 30 minutes. Before taking the needle to face, our brow artist will take a lot of measurements. She will draw the outline of the brow and discuss with you how you want to look this is a very important conversation because our artist wants you to be completely comfortable before she moves to the next step. Measuring and perfecting the look can take up to an hour!
Don't book your appointment for after a night of partying… If you are drinking alcohol in excess before coming in or the night before, it'll just cause you to bleed more. This can negatively impact your results. If you're bleeding a lot, the pigment won't be able to penetrate into the skin... … and don't book your appointment for before a day at the beach. For the best results, aftercare is key. The first few days are the most important because the incisions are still open. Until they start to heal, you want to make sure you're not getting the brows wet or soaking them. So don't do it if you're leaving the next day to go on a tropical vacation!
